I'm sure most people didn't take Martin's well intentioned (if perhaps slightly unfortunately worded) message the wrong way. It is appreciated that you take the time to write the diary and add the photos - it certainly adds a little more interest to my day! And it was a very good idea to suggest that the occasional cost of a beer which we undoubtedly would have bought you from time to time is donated instead to CARE - every penny will make a difference.

Great, controversy on the blog! So lets get some things straight here...
1. Your Blog is appreciated and enjoyed, very much, or I wouldn't be typing, nevermind just reading it.
2. Critisize, moi? - yeah right ???
3. No one thinks you should not have a good time, even me, even the people who were accused of sitting in armchairs (?).
4. If you are claiming to do something 'for charity' and asking other people to donate, you should really have given something yourself, and you should raise more money than the cost of the trip - otherwise you are just doing it for yourselves (a fine and acceptable reason in my books). Be honest - tell us how much you are giving :-) so we can have a laugh. Don't tell me you are giving 'your spare time'....please
5. All my friends live in TeePees, grow their own food, plant their trees specifically for heating, and are so comatozed I don;t think they give out any CO2. Maybe when they decompose they will affect the ozonre layer. So lay off about the heating / driving stuff.
6. I will give 100 GBP to care every time you post a picture of Alex taking a 4WD outside shower in the middle of town (preferably, but not essentially, on market day). If the police are in the picture I'll give 200 GBP.

Gotta go now and fill up my Humvee, can't wait for the next installment.

Hi,
I'll add another 50 quid if it is a video clip and Alex recites the 'wash-and-go' advertisment whilst taking his public shower. 'Take two bottles into the shower.....leaves my hair soft and shiney' etc
Good Luck,
Mark.
